Quand le cinéma d’animation rencontre le vivant ⁄original title⁄ deals with the causes and consequences of technological innovations that give different possibilities to work with classical and digital film images, subjecting them to changes and transformations that are most often achieved with a combination of animation and classical film shooting. Thanks to digital settings, various computer software, digital editing and compositing tools, it is possible to make a film in which the viewer can no longer recognize the true nature of the images. The rotoscopy, pixilation and digital images of the subject are all being processed by this stimulating work.
