The sequel to the book Fragments of Design History, published three years ago by HDD, and both are the result of continuous research activities into the Croatian design heritage of the 20th and 21st centuries, which we carry out through the HDD gallery program in its various program lines. Like the first Fragments, these also include 5 chapters: Designing History / Historization of Design, Design of Independence, Intermedia Reader, Design=Action and Discursive Objects, the textual and visual material is organized thematically in order to open different perspectives on the design practices that the book deals with, but it is not, and was not intended as a synthesis review, but as a sequence of views on design phenomena and phenomena of visual culture, author positions and cultural and social contexts that characterized our time and the time that preceded us.
