25 FPS, the Audio—Visual Research Association, was founded in 2004. The basic activities of the association are the organization of the annual 25 fps film festival, publishing, education in the New Media and film culture and promotion of short and experimental film. The Association of Civil Society 25 FPS actively contributes to the development of an extra—institutional independent culture and introduces positive social changes by affirming audio—visual art as a necessary component of contemporary culture at the local, regional and international levels. 25 FPS promotes non—commercial forms of audiovisual and film arts by involving individuals and groups at the local, regional and international levels by stimulating creative arts work, exchanging good practice experiences, networking and public advocacy.
